Was walking out of Walmart and saw two very old people, one white, one black sitting next to one another. Oxygen bottle and mask on one, both watching the world go by. My angel said, "We could be anyone." Right then both those old people looked me right in the eye and smiled. I wonder.
Today, look around. It could be anyone. I think it might be a good idea to treat everyone as if, just in case. Like they said, they could be anyone.

Good advice. I have been treating people, lately, as though they have something to give me and that has been interesting! Kinda like playing a video game and collecting items to reach the next level

Edit: I always knew YOU had something to give me, "you old Bitty"

A long time ago when I was a teenager I went to church with a friend of mine. I've always been a person who would go to just about any church. I'm curious & fascinated with how others believe & their customs. This was a mainstream church in our area. Keep in mind this is a predominantly white area with very few folks of color.. any color other than caucasion. During the main Sunday morning church the door opened & a tall, skinny fellow who appeared to be homeless. It was obvious from his clothes that he wasn't living like everyone else in that building was. Now me, I come from a family that I affectionately term hillbillies. I've seen fellers go to church in their Sunday overalls with a tie & a t-shirt. Not much phases me.

I was appalled to see people I'd known most of my life who wouldn't sit next to this man. They kept turning & staring at him. I was pretty young & up in the balcony but I wanted to kick a bunch of adults in the fanny. The preacher said he could see me starting to fume. At the end of service I hot footed it down there to talk to the guy because he was trying to be friendly & it was obvious he was noticing the stares & whispers. My friends thought I'd lost my mind. Here was this black fellow with sandals on & dirty clothes. It was disgraceful. Most of the youngsters followed my lead though & the preacher was freaking out because the parents did NOT approve! The man gave me a hug, nothing disrespectful or out of line, & thanked me for being kind. The smile on his face was so beautiful when he left though he didn't look at others as he left. I never saw him again & even though I tried to catch him to see if he needed food, he was no where to be seen.

I lost all respect for these people. Told them they'd probably boot Jesus himself out because they wouldn't know good manners if it bit them. I gave them an earful & left. Never went back.

My Grandpa just grinned & patted my arm & said, "You entertain angels unaware. Maybe it was a test that you passed. Maybe some of these folks didn't & they needed to be prayed for." Of course (big sigh) he was right. We looked this town over trying to find this man in case he needed food but he was no where.

You never know where & when you may encounter someone special. It'd be a shame to miss it.

At age 14 my girl friend and I were at a beach on Lake michigan where there were no life guards or other people. Dumb. It was hot we were in the water to make a long story short. she got caught in an under current and I went out to save her. I can't swim. Needless to say I was pulled under the water and was taking my first breath of water when in the next moment we were both sitting on the beach with 2 men (angels) standing behind us. I wouldn't be here today.
I know they are so very real.

I wonder how many times we've been saved, in one form or another, by angels; we just don't recognize it I guess. Anyone else got a good one?

I once had a weird encounter that seemed angelic to me. I had just started working at the hospital and was feeling shook up about it because my manager at the time seemed to be thinking about firing me (for no reason whatsoever... I hate office politics). So, there I was, locking my bike into the bike rack, dreading the day (this was pre LOA, btw), when there was a guy getting his bike out, ready to leave. He smiled at me, and I don't remember the exact words, but he asked me "What are you bringing here today?" I stuttered some kind of answer, and looked away for a moment. The next moment I looked, and he was gone. It was a pretty wide open space. I don't understand how he disappeared so fast. The whole encounter was weird - there was something very different about that guy and I've never seen him again (though I don't know if I could pick him out of a line up anyway at this point). But, it did help me try to see my situation in a better light.

It's strange but I think after 40 some years I might remember the faces of the 2 I saw. It is like they are indelible in my mind. Weird.

Yes they were Angles.

An Angle saved us one day...we didn't see him/her.
We were driving on a 2 lane hwy, I was sleeping, husband driving. He saw a big logging truck several miles ahead of us trying to pass a little car. The truck was pretty far away 2 miles or so, but my husband said he heard a voice that said hit the ditch quick....he did. Skidded our suburban into the ditch and off the road. At that moment the logging truck started to swerve and spilled his logs all over the road.....EXACTLY where we whould have been if my husband did not HIT THE DITCH at 60 mph.

Wow! Amazing stories! With stories like that, who can say that there isn't a God and that He doesn't care.

Too many just see what's on the outside without ever considering that its really what's on the inside. It's funny to me that so many adults give this lip service but when it comes to practicing what they preach to small children... they won't.

I used to volunteer at homeless shelters & soup kitchens. It's amazing to hear those folks' stories... there's an angel or two in those places too

They're everywhere. But most importantly, they are always, always with you. It's not a "when you are in danger" kind of thing. It's always.
