| Over a period of 4 months I have brought a horse that was genuinely fearful of people to a calm, polite attentive horse by doing the first three rituals. It started out my just saying hello and leaving, maybe 4 or 5 times a day. It's been a journey full of hope, disappointments, and joy. I had also begun saying hello to his buddy. It's wonderful to enter the field and if they hear me come racing over to say hello. 98% has been at liberty. He's now an old hand at dealing with flapping tarps and fly away plastic bags. He has learned to trust me. He arrived here with his fearful baggage. I was getting nowhere even after months of repetitive work. It was liberty work that was our salvation as per CR. |
