Hello,

A friend sent me this link a few weeks ago since I am trying to get back into the Parelli natural horsemanship training after 6 years. My memory doesnt seem to be so good, as I couldnt get through the games as I well as remembered. Back then I used a mare I had raised from a foal and she was so easy to train. My new gelding is presenting me with some issues I havent dealt with before.  I find the Horsenality concepts very interesting and am still learning how to deal with my LBI.

I joined the Savvy Club in June and had a lesson with a Level 2 Parelli instructor 2 weeks ago. We are still struggling a bit with the games and I cant afford to take off work again or pay another $100 for a lesson.

I rented the new Level 1/2 from Horseflix. I didnt get much out of watching the first DVD, but will wait to see the next 2 before I decide if it is helpful.

I grew up with horses , have been through 4-H, ponyclub, and have competed in open shows over the last 30+ years. I train my own horses on my farm and seek lessons and help when needed. I keep an open mind about new techniques and training and try to learn from my past mistakes as well as from other folks.

Carriage driving has been my passion for the last 12 years, since I can share my horse with others and its so much fun to go cross country in the buggy!  I still love to ride and enjoy the bond with my horse more than anything.

I encourage helmet use and make riding helmet covers you can see here.

My user name is from my first driving horse "Oughta Be Spotted" a solid black mare who is Appy/TB cross. We have a great bond and know what each other is thinking. You can see her in the album above, as well as Glory that I did Parelli with and my new horse, Finnegan.

Sorry for the long intro, back to reading other posts.

Welcome Latina! I'm glad you found us.

I think you'll find this is a great forum.

Love the driving picture, by the way!

I got a few driving lessons this summer--my first time trying it. It was a lot of fun!!
