Gonna have to have Amanda video Hawk and I doing liberty. He's doing so well. Took a little Carolyn, a little Cynthia and a little Brent, and he's doing amazing. He's not real big on a halter and lead, and never has been. Since coming back from the trainer, you can't get near him with one. Liberty seems to work real well for us. He can walk/trot circles, and this is in a large pasture. Stop, change directions, and doesn't push into me when he does. He can whoa, too! Oh, and not a bad side pass, although on one side he keeps getting back up mixed up with sidepass. His back is good too. Hoping riding will be fun for him again some day. Wrestling with taking him to Brent Graef clinic this weekend. Even if we just do the morning, non riding bit. _________________ "It was once said I should clear my head for one cannot ride a Thoroughbred. Hot they are. And too fast they be. Forever on the fly. | Take him! Let Brent know what the problem is. He could give you some ideas that you hadn't thought of or put a slight tweak on something that you are already doing. It could help make going somewhere be a good thing for Hawk. |

I'm unsure about the riding with him in a clinic. I guess if we are gonna do this, this is the best place to do it. I've ridden him once since he came home. I figured I better get his trust and reestablish that bond, before I tried getting on him, again. I don't want to get on too soon, and push him when he should have been getting release. Ya know? I'll see what Brent says. If I bring another horse, Hawkie can always kick back in his little stall while I ride. Right? If he does fine, I'll take the other horse home and use Hawkie for the rest of the weekend. _________________ "It was once said I should clear my head for one cannot ride a Thoroughbred. Packing up and have two stalls reserved. I'll be there in horsey land for four days! One of the ladies coming is a friend and does body work. We are going to work on horses and talk horses and play with horses. Wish it was cooler, but boy and I excited! Icing on the cake, Brent Graef! _________________ "It was once said I should clear my head for one cannot ride a Thoroughbred. Hot they are. And too fast they be. Forever on the fly.
