Happy Dog Dance!  Cookie is recovered!

Incident Details: On Tuesday September 21, 2010 three men opened the gate of our private property while one older man stood at the street to guard the other two got my horse from the barn and walked her out the gate and walked away from the property probably to a trailer somewhere around the corner to load her into a trailer.

Flash forward to this October 15, 2010 and the not we received this morning from Cookie's owner Dottie Monahan.

"Great news....    Cookie was recovered yesterday and is back with her family and friends thanks to the efforts and prompt coverage by Debi.....   you are at the top of my list of donations now.  God Bless and keep up the good work!  Please spread the news about Cookie....."

And indeed we are spreading the news about Cookie's recovery and I hope to have more news soon. But first I would like to thank everyone who helped in the recovery like Angela, Michelle, Sonya and all of the other NetPosse volunteers who receive these alerts and who have helped in any way. We could not do this without you. THANK YOU!!!!!

Wow! I am honored...really.  Glad this horse got home.

Hi Merideth, you have a horse listed with NetPosse:
   http://www.netposse .com/stolenmissi ng/SkyCAstolenDe c05.htm
I am the Network Coordinator for SHI/NetPosse. I have been working on posting older alerts to my facebook wall in hopes to getting them circulating around again to try and reunite owner and horse. In the process of that I also try to friend request any victims that I can find on facebook. I also do quite a lot more for SHI, too much to list now, you can read more about what I do on my info page if you'd like.

Oh and Tank says "thank you" (he's actually a red dun). LOL

Oh my, well thank you for all your efforts on behalf of lost/stolen horses and bereft owners. We never found our beautiful young mare. We came to the conclusion that her theft was some sort of an inside job by pros. There was absolutely no trace of her, and we tried hard to find her. We will always wonder where and how she is! Perhaps her papers got switched and she is under a new name. She was well bred, well trained and would have made a terrific brood mare. Hard to lose her. Take care and keep up the good work. and THANKS!
