Another Newfoundlander! Two years ago I decided at 42 to fulfill a lifelong dream and become a horse owner(or partner if you will My first horse and I were only together 10 months when I lost him to laminitis. My second horse is an 81/2 year old quarter cross(unsure of the cross)and is quite different from my first 18 year old gentleman.A lady at the barn has been helping myself and Thunder with some of our issues and we've been using the Parelli Games, which I find helpful in dealing with my issues as much as his.She also introduced me to this site which after some browsing looks to be not only a great source of knowledge but also with the same frame of mind re. horses that I have.Look foreward to exchanging ideas and experiences, Darlene.

Welcome to you.....
Sorry to hear about your first horse, and good on ya for the second.
Most here are higher levels of Parelli and can be of help. There are many decades of experience on the board.
Ask and you will get the best we can come up with, or at least lead you in the right direction.
I'll introduce myself. I'm the local prankster. Pay only a little attention to me.
