If you look at the payback you see where most of the entry goes. But, I have to agree that it is pretty expensive. It is not nearly as expensive as a horse show though and you don't have to travel. I believe that is what she was thinking about.
Here is her Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/events/290925700948934/
I think she's already gotten some comments about the price. I also gave her suggestions to break it into categories for ground vs saddle and novice. I think she wants to fill a class first. She also said that you can enter now and not pay anything until the class is filled and ready to go on-line for voting.
Camilla won the CanAm Wind Rider and then the North American Wind Rider Championship competitions in 2010 and then the Craig Cameron Extreme Cowboy Challenge this year (on a Paso Fino in a dressage saddle! LOL). She really enjoyed the Wind Dancer competition and would like to do more of those type of competitions. The problem is, there aren't any. So, she did like you have with horse agility...start one!
This is Camilla and Mercy at the CanAm. It should give you an idea of what she has in mind, although the door is open for everything...

It kind of makes the complaints of £25 per year and £5 per class entry for Horse Agility pale into insignificance
But I get where you're coming from -I know these things have a lot of hidden costs. It looks like a great idea, but there's no way I could justify that cost.

I have to actually make one first. No way will I wager $150 that I will put one together. Now if I were Hertha, and already had several 'in the can' it would be a no brainer.
It is 115 Euro...that doesn't sound so bad...

It's £111 GBP (we're not in the Euro zone, thank God!) . Still about what I pay to get 3 horses trimmed by a qualified EP. Or what I pay for at Tescos (Walmart) for a 2 week food shop.. So, I shan't be entering. But it *is* a very good idea!
