Bodywork...where to start? My horse checks out at the vet every year, and her teeth are done each year. She has regular hoofcare and is not lame.
But...
she is cinchy (I always do it up gradual and I don't cut her in half), and she won't take a right lead. Some days I just get the impression that she has 'outnesses' or 'tightnesses.'
What type of bodywork should I persue, should I cycle between chiropractic, massage, myofascial release....?
suggestions on where to start would be wonderful.

If you have a good equine vet/chiropractor I would start there and have him/her build you a workout routine for her. Dr. Henneman (here in Park City) has gone over Zar, Rosie, and Bien and added to what I was already doing. Actually, with Bien I had her pretty well balanced. Rosie, because of her neck injury, needed the most change from what I was doing. Of course, I had no idea she had had a neck injury, so it changed a lot in all that I do with her.

Erin,
If you're willing, I could try to make contact with your mare and simply ask her to identify the cause of her issue. Based on my own experience with a few horses, I already have an idea of what it may be, and if so, how to help her. That would direct us to the type of practitioner to use. But I'd rather check in with her, with your permission first, and give her the opportunity to tell us what's going on. She knows.

it has really been helpfull for Sonny becoming way more even on both sides & helping him get more balanced fore & aft. I haven't even had to ride him to get his new look, just been doing a bit of long rein driving using a firmly fitted plain halter & surcingle. See these photos I took & posted today. Compare them to older photos in that thread.

There's a lady who does non forceful chiropractic (targets muscles and myofascia) and I'm going to take her to an appointment on May 3rd, as a start! I'll check out the website Clarissa...
