Christmas picsI know that I am not the only one who makes my horses dress up at holidays like Halloween and Christmas. Let's see pics of your horses all decked out for Christmas. Here's one of Strider to start things off.

No picture, but thought I'd share this...
This video from the small Yupiq Eskimo Village of Quinhagak, Alaska, has a school computer project intended for the other Yupiq villages in the area. Much to the villagers' shock, over a half million people have viewed it.
Sandy (GurgleFlap) sent me more about this small villiage. It is in South West Alaska. It's name means "new river channel." It is located on the Kanektok river about a mile from the bay of the Bering Sea. The village has a total area of 5.2 square miles. The population is approximately 555 with 153 housing units. It is 96% Native American population. About 26% of the population are below the poverty line. Most Quinhagak households practice subsistence hunting and gathering along with any jobs they are able to find. They catch salmon and trout, birds, caribou and moose. They also gather berries. Most of the work they find is government or seasonal fishing or canning.
