Into the CWG books.  I'll wait to hear from you on the Abe CD, a little leary, for some reason, there. Looked at some  Bach's other books at the library, you'll love illusions

Wanda - You will love it.  Listening to mine as I draft off to sleep at night.  Last night, my littlest dog was following instructions:  Esther would say "Breathe in" and Mo Puppy would breathe in.  Esther would say "Breathe out" and Mo Puppy would breathe out.  Cracked me up.

Are we still enjoying the Abe CD?  Is this something really valuable?  Do you have any issues with the breathing pattern; I read a review that said the pattern didn't suit all peoples' natural patterns and that they felt irritated by it.  Anyone feel this way?  I have a family member wanting to know what I want for Christmas and I need to know if this is something I might want............. No pressure

I am still listening to it and enjoying it.  Some days my breathing matches what they say and some days it doesn't.  It doesn't bother me when it doesn't.  Mostly the CD makes me feel good so that's what's important to me.

Nancy, you'll find the ones that fit you.  A little like finding a horse.  You are just going to have to take a chance and try a few.  I like Wayne Dyers guided meditation.  I have a very old body scan one from a class I did back in the early 90's I really like.  I found the body scanning ones helped me a lot with visualization during riding.  Just took a centered riding lesson, and instructor told me to visualize my center, and told me where Eclipse's was, then asked me to connect them.  lol, I saw an arrow shooting from mine to hers, and she actually flinched and did a mis step when my arrow hit her center.
Work with the breath can be very powerful.  It's how the monks are able to sit in the snow after being drenched in water, dry themselves and actually put off steam.  That breath work really works.  I used to use it on the chair lift when I got cold.  It's not just for meditation.  There is purpose to these meditations.
Maybe a better question is, what purpose do you want your guided meditation to serve?  Look into what these meditations are meant to do or trigger.  Think of them as body and mind exercises.  Like when you do crunches because you want good abs?

Byron Katy is offering her course "The Work" free on her website until the end of the year.  I just love her!

Nancy, I had hoped to be well into the Abe Cd by now...but...hubby snapped it up.  Apparently wants to wrap it and put it under the tree.  That's what happens when I order stuff too close to Christmas

I'll have to give my review later

Nancy....I loved Illusions...wonderful book.

I wanted to give you my impressions of the Abe CD/book. I am loving it  Almost finished the book and started my first meditation today.  So far Nancy and all....a great investment.  Maybe my best yet

I haven't started my CWG books because so far I have only rec'd book 2 and 3 and was hoping to start at the beginning....Book 1.  Having said that, the post will not be open now till the 4th of January so I may have to start out of order
jackspark

Good to know Wanda!  Don't start the CWG books out of order, just wait until you get book 1.

I guess I'll get the Meditation CD.  It comes with a book?

Too late Nancy...Finished Illusions and finished the vortex book...no book in the mail yet, so guess what..have to start book 2 of CWG.

What I ordered was the vortex guide to meditation.  The book came with the CD.  Or maybe the CD came with the book.      You need both.  This IMHO just follows what you have already begun.  If you don't feel you want it yet then wait a while, I think of it as natural progression This to me will just add to what I know you already know...but it will fill in some blanks I'm sure...or at least I think it will.  Having said that, I have not read the CWG books yet.
