have to brag on HawkHawk used to kick, and he meant it! He'd do the machine gun thing, too. He'd bite, and rear and damn near kill you if you got close to his feet. It wasn't that long ago. What, maybe a year and 1/2? Today he was the perfect horse. Windy, the mares took off and left him with just me and the trimmer, weather turning, big storm coming in and he didn't move a muscle. When he got worried, he'd put his nose at mine and we'd breath together. I'd stroke his forelock and he'd 1/2 close his eyes. He was amazing. This is the first time it has ever gone this way. Usually he argues a little. Jerks his foot away once or twice. Today my, er um, Kelsey's little lbe was the poster colt for The Perfect Trim Magazine! His feet, for the record, are rock hard, perfect, even and some of the finest feet my trimmer has seen. If I ever figure out how to download pics here again, I'll post. Ya'll would drool!

Proud of him! When I was there in April he wasn't horrible, but we had to move our feet inbetween every hoofy.
I bet I have pics of his feet from April... no solar shots, but side & front views. just gotta find them.
