Hello from Tennessee!

And many thanks for this forum!

Since everyone is introducing themselves, I thought I would, too.
I'm Patty from Tennessee and my screen name comes from being owned by two beautiful Great Pyrenees dogs.

I started horses for the first time in my life when I was nearly 50 and found Parelli at the same time.  Up to this point, I am entirely Parelli "trained."
The only "un" Parelli thing I did was to start with a green Arabian when I was green, too.  I started him under saddle myself (I had a friend do a few rides on him at the beginning).  We have never had anything bad happen and we are still learning together.  I'm really glad I was learning from Parelli at the time we started - the program was terrific.  I'm still following it until we get through the old level 3.

We are very sad that things are changing for Parelli Inc. now.  It became too hard to express questions or opinions on the forum/chat, and many corporate decisions point clearly to politics and money becoming the primary motivating factors in the program.

So here we are!  My horses and I are looking to a bright future.
Our goals are to finish the old level 3 and buy ourselves a bright and shiny green string.  Or maybe a rainbow one.

With my minis, I'd like to do dressage on the ground with them, and eventually train to drive.  Big goals, but I think we can do it before I am too old!!   (except maybe the gallop the barrels task - not sure I will do that one.  LOL)
