Help finding saddle pad to keep back cool and dry!

I saw a thread a long time ago on the SC about this certain type of saddle pad (I think it was rectangular) that kept the back cool, and the pad from getting dirty (the usual fleece or whatever pad that you use), it looked like a pile of spaghetti and allowed air to flow through it. probably about 1/2 inch thick. Does anyone have some leads for me?

Heard good things about that pad, but no personal experience.  I bought a very thin, wool pad with my saddle rite pad and it keeps the back warm or cool, depending.  Know anything about the skito pad?  Heard good stuff about it, too.  At 90.5 degrees, thunderstoms looming, I'm not sure anything will keep them dry.  Hawkie is out there sweating and he's standing in the shade.

I purchased a Dixie Midnight pad last week, should arrive in a few days.  Plan to use it to help ventilate and protect my Skito pad.  From what I've read, I'm not expecting it to keep my horse from sweating, but to allow the sweat to more easily evaporate for maximum cooling.

We use them on the endurance horses and find them excellent with ones that run sweat. It will not keep the horse's back dry but it does allow the sweat to run off in our experience. We have had excellent results from a super sensitive horse although you do need to take care with them that they do not rub. We use them under the fleece saddle cloths endurance riders use without a problem.

The thread is no longer here as the manufacturer took exception to it being discussed if I remember correctly.

Hope,

Please share when you get it & your findings.  My girls don't complain about carrying my bones around so I want them to be as comfortable as possible & the heat here in Mo. has just been BRUTAL  Over the weekend I felt like a chicken roasting on a spit just standing holding the edge of a tent for my husband.

Odd, our 2 QH mares stand in the heat & sweat.  Mis, my Lippi seldom does.  A little sweat on the neck sure but not like the QH mares.  I'm not sure if that means they're in need of something or if Mis is the odd one?

my poor girl has been sweating too, just standing there. I braided her mane to help with venthilation on her neck lol. I figured, if the midnight dixie pad will help her stay a mite cooler and save my pad from getting all funky, it would be worth it...
