Help with getting groundedWell here's one you just won't hear asked from any teenagers
A good friend wrote to me recently and asked, "is it possible that you are unaware that you are a fairly high level empath?"
Okay... well I admit I had to look up what it really means & discovered I was clueless & that my friend is probably right. The next note that came was that I needed to learn how to ground myself as that's what's been giving me fits.
So... how do you ground yourself? Any help would be appreciated.

There are many ways to ground yourself. I think there has even been a great way in another one of these Spirit of the Horse threads somewhere...it was excellent and I would reccommend that method. It is easy when you are first starting.
You need to give yourself time to do it. So find a time in your day that you can have time to yourself with no interruptions. It is too hard to put a time limit on the first time you do it. Just go with the flow.
You can either lay down or do it standing or sitting. I found when I first began it was much more comfortable doing it laying down.
Before you get started, you should make a decision and commitment to which of the energies you align yourself with. Positive or negative. Make a verbal commitment to one or the other and it shall be so.
Take some deep slow breaths to get you started.
With the next deep breath imagine a white and cleansing light covering you up to your toes then as you let the breath out it takes away any tension, fear or energy you don't want with it. Keep doing that (or you may only need to do it once) until you feel your toes are lighter, or tingling or clean. Or, whatever comes to you will be right. Then move onto the whole of both feet.
Breath in and imagine a white cleansing light covering your whole foot (both feet) and as you breathe out the light takes any unwanted energy with it.
Again, do this until your feet are cleansed.
Then you move up and repeat this to your knee.
Then your genitals.
Then your hips and back.
Then your stomach and finger tips and middle of your back at the same time.
Then your elbows and your chest and your back.
Then your sholders.
Then your neck.
Then your face and ears.
Then your whole head.
Imagine yourself being covered in a cleansing and pure white light.
Breathe it in and all around you.
It would be at this point I would give thanks to the universe, higher divine, whomever or whatever you call the higher energies. I would also ask for protection and guidance and give thanks for the ability to do this.
Once you are relaxed - in a mild medative or pre-medative state, then imagine that white light coming down from the higher divine. It is white, cleansing and pure white light and cannot be interfered with by any other energy.
Breathe it into your crown charkra (top of the head) and breathe it in all the way down the centre of your body and out from between your legs. Continue breathing it all the way down and imagine it going into the earths soil. Then breathe it up, through the soil (almost like roots of a tree) and through the bottom of your feet and up around the outside of your body and back into the crown charkra (top of the head).
Continue bringing in the white light from the universal energy, rotate it through your body and through the earth until you feel it is time to stop.
You will be grounded.
You will feel different.
You will also be partially cleansed.
It is a wonderful, wonderful exercise to do!
