Hi at all :)

My name is anja and i'm  from switzerland. Unfortunately my is english is terrible...i hoe you'll understand, what i write I understand the most of your posts, only writing is a problem...i hope you'll excuse me

I have a fjord-mixed-pony since 12 years called topolino. He is 17, lives în a herd. I practice PNH more or less five years. Topolino and i love to ride bareback in the nature, have a full gallop and jump over little tree trunks

My profession is teaching children (12 years old) in maths, geografie, history, german, biology and art. It makes a lot of fun

I hope these informations are enough for the moment...you can ask me, if you want to know more

Anja, glad to have you here.  I also teach; math for kids ages 8- 15.  I know you'll love it here and don't worry about your English, we'll understand.  I can't imagine trying to post in another language...... I often have enough trouble with my own   WELCOME

Welcome Anja, glad you are here.

I resized and reloaded your avatar for you.  It looks great.  What a beautiful pony.

Welcome Anja!
You will enjoy it here. I think your English is fine. I read doctor's hand writing (which is very difficult) so your writing will be easy. There is lots to learn and very nice people. Everyone enjoys answering questions, too I like your picture. Is that your pony?

Welcome Anja !!  This is a great place to meet some wonderful friends.    I think your English is great !

ohhh, what a nice welcome I think that i'll feel fine here

I had english at school for two years, but i needed the english lessons for sleeping at the most...the nights were to short in youth But nowadays there are enough programs to translat from german to english
I had also french at school for six years, but i can't write only one sentence in french English is easier...

The poney on the foto is topolino. But this foto was a coincidence. Normally he looks a little bit funny and unpropaortional. His legs are undersized, his stomach is too big and because of his sickness (he has cushing) there are some fat pads that looks sometimes strange...but he is really cute an after a lot of work now he is the perfect partner for me

Welcome to you and Topolino!  wav

Hi anja,

Your pony is too cute.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy it here. And your English is great!

Wish my German was better, and we could converse auf Deutsch, but I've sadly forgotten most of my high school and college German, which was never very good to begin with.

Anja, the fat pads are symptoms of Insulin Resistance, which often goes hand in hand with Cushings.  If you take care of Topolino's diet, they will go away or get much smaller.

Welcome to the forum

hey, thanks for your welcome

I know, but it was so hard to put him on a diet because he lived in a herd  on a very big field. In winter wasn't a problem, but in summer he was eating all day long...I tried with a muzzle but the little cheeky boy took it off and i could look for it for hours Than i put him into a stable overnight, but he never lives in a stable and made such noise and striked against the stable, so we can't let him there.
We changed on a new farm in april. This summer he slimed, i had a lot of time and rode nearly every day. Then he looked like a sport-poney You can see it on the foto:) Unfortunately we had to change the stable in august again and i was short of time (job) and topolino got fat  You can see it on the current picture in snow.
Now he is in a herd with other to thick horses and they all get a diet. I'm looking for a help to ride and hope this will help...we will see it in spring/summer
