Hi everybody !

This site is really neat and I want to thank Carol and anyone else who helped create it !

I don't know if I have told my story but here it goes. It's not as exciting and elaborate as some others but it's mine.
I rode horses as a young girl. Not mine but a friends. I had a wonderful time with her and her horses. I have loved them all of my life. I grew up in the city so there was no way I would be able to have one growing up.  Years passed and although I was not close to any horses I still dreamed of them. A few years ago we bought some property where we could have horses and after 8 months I bought my 1st horse, Jake. He was 'supposed' to be a beginner horse. That's a long story but turns out he is actually a vibrant, playful and sometimes naughty LBE horse. I started with Parelli right away with him. I then found a trainer who also does Parelli. The days of carefree riding and jumping over logs and thru trails of my younger years are over. I am now taking the time it takes so that I can be safe and confident with him. Our relationship on the ground is so awesome and my dream of being one with him in the saddle is, well, going to take some more time. I have faith we will get there one day. I too am continuing to follow the levels. Even before the Patterns were introduced my trainer had already had us doing patterns of our own.  We have done some liberty too without ever having studied it, it just happened one evening. The feeling was amazing. He understood the language and showed me how much he cared that night. My goals are simple. All I really want to do is to be able to trail ride my boy with or without other horses and be safe.

Thanks to Gismo for the invite. Here I hope to hear how everyone is REALLY feeling about their progress, their horses and their dreams !!!

Thanks guys, glad to be here ! Yes I am so appreciative of having my trainer and friend, Theresa, in my life. She has helped me so much. She can interpret and apply the Parelli concepts so easily and she understands all the horseinalities so well. Being a new horse owner I would have been lost without her support.
