Hi everybody!I was JUDITH on the Savvy Club forum. I don't know why I changed my name. I guess I didn't much like the other one and wanted something more quirky!
I'm a late starter to horses. I didn't get into them until my mid forties and then it became a passion. I've done some BHS exams and had loads of lessons and been through the 'I've got to be brave' mode and do everything even if it scares me! Parelli has really helped me to accept my fear and not feel inadequate. It's also helped me to accept my mare's horsenality. I think without Parelli I'd by now be really disllusioned with her. I've only had her about 9 months but she's very challenging and not the cuddly, affectionate horse I'd dreamed of. But I'm proud of her essential LBI nature, and her intelligence, and her beauty. I'm beginning to understand her(sometimes) and accept where she's coming from.
Anyway, I'm not one for following a rigid path. I'm not a joiner and i'm a pain in the arse questioner. I had a really fun workshop at Stoneleigh recently with lovely people but had to censor myself. Not a good feeling. I felt I wasn't myself that day.
But if being ourselves with our horses is essential to the relationship why am I feeling that i have to watch my mouth on a Parelli course?
Much look forward to this site and thanks for the thought!
(Better smileys too! )
