Hi from LynnHi Everyone !
Kathleen ( whom it looks like you've already had the pleasure of her input and knowledge ! ) told me about this group and I'm happy to be here. I'm super glad she's here and hopefully we can get frequent input from her. She has helped me a lot and I would encourage any of you to ride with her if you have the chance.
I started with PNH in 03 and have since moved on to eclectic, classical horsemanship. I love Buck and use what he teaches, but also love classical dressage and selectively take lessons in that area.It seems that there are many like minded people here and after much thread browsing, I decided to join.
I'm in Ft. Collins, CO. My husband Blaine is a full time barefoot trimmer that has studied extensively with Pete Ramey, whom I glad to see appears to be well respected here. Blaine specializes in rehabbing founder, laminitic and navicular horses and transitioning those supposedly, '' can't go barefoot '', horses to sound barefoot horses.
I recently stopped my small boarding and instructing business due to putting our place up for sale. Right now I'm spending my time helping with my husband's business and riding my 2 young horses, a 5 yr. old AQHA that I might like to bring along ( possibly, do I have to rope , Kathleen ? ) in the Bridle Horse tradition as I'm more and more intrigued with that, and a 5 yr. oldTrakehner that I've brought along myself since he was a yearling and would like to take as far as possible in dressage. My third and most special horse is a 17 yr. old Arab that is now pretty advanced that got me started on my NH journey. I'm forever grateful to this extremely special, if still complicated horse.
I host Master Horseman and Parelli friendly trainer Jack Brainard twice a year.
I look forward to visiting with you about our favorite subject !

Welcome Lynn,
One of my very favorite areas is HWY 287 between you and Laramie. We drive it as a shortcut to Denver...but never a good idea to go all the way into Ft. Collins before getting on I-25.
I DOOOO love that area...but...I think the winters must be brutal up there.
Anyway...welcome to the IATH forum. I think this is a good group of people who are really focused on learning "HORSEMANSHIP" from whatever the source. We all started with Parelli because we care about horses. But we bring to the table great horsemen from all corners of the globe. It is an interesting place....with people who appreciate learning.
