Hi from MN!Hi all, I actually joined the party a couple weeks ago, but forgot to introduce myself at the time! I'm the MN gal who bought Ramblin Reba, ( 9 yr old Racking horse/TWH) from Gismo in August of 08. We have had a blast the last year and a half, and someday I'll actually figure out how to request a specific gait! Right now, we just have a lovely time whenever we ride, she will go all day, and do just about anything I ask of her. She is superb! Thanks again Gismo!!! She is no longer a FL sissy, she has been known to lay outside in the snow on a sunny 3 degree day, happy as can be. She doesn't need a blanket, no shivering, you'd think she was MN born and bred like my Miss Etta. Etta is my 17 year old Appy mare who I adore. She is the "been there done that" horse everyone wants, and few are lucky enough to get. My niece and I bought her together in 2000, Sara showed her in the normal world until 2004 when she bought Etta's only baby, Jed a 3 year old at the time. When she got Jed, I got Etta full time and went out and built a barn and moved her home! We showed a little too, but really, there was no challenge because we won easily and she did indeed do it all for me with very little effort from me because Sara had trained her so well. Sara was the girl who would go to the barn at 7 am and have to be dragged home when it was dark. She is now a college student, and Jed lives with me too, a lovely pasture ornament who gets lots of love and will have a life home here if thats what Sara wants. So then, I hear about Parelli from a neighbor, and wow, the fun is back! I no longer want to show, I want Miss Etta and I to just have fun and be partners. Life is grand! Then, Etta starts to get some arthritis in her front left leg, and an all day ride is too much for her. An occasional ride is great, short rides of an hour or two is great, but put her in a trailer and go to a park and ride all day is too much. She is sore and I feel terrible. The good news is, hubby, who never rode, now loves Miss Etta and will ride with me about once a week. They are great together, she is totally safe, he is thrilled with her and I feel great about the whole thing. So, now I ride Miss Reba, who will go all day and still go some more, and Tim rides Miss Etta whenever time permits. Life is great!
Boy, I do go on when discussing my babies! By the way, I do have two adult children, boys, and they are fantastic as well!
I hope this forum will be as helpful as the Parelli one. Thanks Sue (gismo) for the invite. Reba sends her love! Hope to get to know you all as time goes on! Debby

Thanks for the welcomes! Thanks for the welcome guys. Yes Miss Reba is stunning and she is a doll, I can hardly believe how close our partnership is, she is really very close to Miss Etta's and my relationship, and I've had Etta for 9 years! So yes indeed, she is special.
