Hi from New England!

Hi everyone - it took me a while to find you all, but I made it!  My Canadian mare and I have been into PNH for a little over 3 years.  I'm mostly self-taught (videos, books), but I've taken a couple of clinics with Kelly Sigler   I board my horse at a barn where everyone does their own thing, and quite a few people are NH enthusiasts.  This year, a bunch of us will be building a playground in one of the upper fields

I attempt to ride classical dressage...  in the ring, on the trails and on the beach!

Welcome! Ditto Nancy's statement  Your soon to be playground sounds like it will be fun! Do you have a first name? Just my inquiring mind. Hope you enjoy your time here.

Thanks for the warm welcome!  My first name is Sue, and my favorite girl is Marina.  She will be 9 later this month.

We're excited about the playground - if anyone has a playground or has played in someone else's, I'd love some ideas for things to put into it.  We've asked the barn owner for a some tractor tires (they own an excavating company, so I think we're in luck)... I think we'll use one as a pedestal, and if we can get two others, or cut one in half, we'll partially bury them on end as a squeeze.  Hubby is going to build a bridge and I think we're going to make a carwash.  The funniest part will be when the non-PNH people ride by our stuff

Earlier this spring, I came across a deflated mylar balloon hanging from a bush in the woods.  It was shiny and moved with every little breeze - it was awesome!  I got to ride by it several times over a few weeks and then one day it was gone.  I can probably guess who was responsible for removing it "so it wouldn't spook the horses", lol!  I will be buying my horse a bunch of balloons for her birthday, and I'm going to WalMart to get her an exercise ball - it's not as big as the Big Green Ball, but it's a lot cheaper!
