Hi from TX!!Hi everyone, my name is Nicole, and in from Tx. :D I just found this forum from a link on the natural dressage forum a couple days ago! I was wondering where everyone form the Savvy Club forum went... I was kind of a lurker on the Savvy Club forum and I didn't post much, but I learned a lot from reading all the discussions. Now that they changed how they run the forum and the program, and lots of people left, there aren't as many interesting discussions there anymore. So Im really glad I found this forum!!!! :D :D :D :D
My horse is an 8 year old, LBE Morgan named Davinci, and I have owned him for a little over 2 years.
It has been a little over a year and a half since I started the Parelli program with my horse, and I am in Level 3/4 with online, liberty, and freestyle.
I was really happy to see that there are some people who use Carolyn Resnick's method here because, since January or February this year I have been using the waterhole rituals with my horse for all our groundwork instead of the Parelli Method! It has improved our relationship a LOT. I like how the horse has a choice and there is no force in Carolyn Resnick's method, and, there is still leadership. And how everything is at liberty (liberty is my FAVORITE way to play with horses). Although I don't agree with some of the things she writes about like telepathic communication and the type of spiritual stuff she talks about, she is an amazing horsewoman and I love the way she works with horses and creates a bond.
I have been mostly riding freestlye so far with my horse, but I am really excited about starting dressage with him and buying Karen Rohlf's book and DVDs. :D
Im so glad to be a part of this forum and looking forward to learning from everyone here!
