Human healing

I thought this was so good, I'd share it with everyone.

Thankyou for posting that link Carol. I also watched some of Jane Poynter's speaches too. I think she is a very talented lady & I wish I could have access to her for just 1 day to ask a heap of questions to.

What a great presentation!!  As a therapist, I can tell you that the mental health and social support really is the bottom line on physical health too.   And the diet and exercise helps the mental health too!  Great stuff.  So how's your neck, Carol?
PasoBaby_CarolU

My neck isn't too bad.   What I have done though is held my head wrong to help my neck and messed up my TMJ and have ear ringing.  I'm reading a good book on that (The TMJ Healing Plan).  I also injured my lateral rotator cuff last week with a horse, as always on the right side.

I think I'd be lost without the Theracane.  I can't thank you enough for introducing me to it.  I use it 2-3 times a day.  Sadly, I don't have a Bob, so have to rely on the Theracane for massage therapy.

Carol what is the Theracane you mentioned?

This is the critter that helped me get over a serious neck injury and avoid surgery for a pinched nerve in my neck.  I recommend it highly.  Of course a "Bob" (my hubby) is wonderful too!

It's a stick/cane type thing that lets you pinpoint sore spots and trigger points in your muscles by yourself.  You can reach and massage any spot on your body with it without having to be a gymnast.  Really helpful for sore muscles for back and neck problems.

OMG that's just what I need!!! Thanks for posting the link. I'll have to see if they're available in Aust & how much. If not I might see about being a reseller at markets or something. I have always thought about a design for such a thing but it has never properly formulated.

Clarissa, search for it on Amazon.  It's available through many retail outlets.

Don't forget to download the charts off the Internet on Trigger Points.  There are several sites with charts, here is one:

I have also found that the points in the book on the red light therapy are also the trigger points for many things, as are acupuncture points.

Thanks Carol.

It was the use of trigger points on me by the equine massage therapist that got rid of my 'tennis elbow' once & for all! I think we have already covered that some other place on here.

It's 1.30am here now & I am off to bed but I will get right onto it in the morning. I can't wait to be rid of a certain pain in my upper back & neck which I know will respond very well to trigger point therapy. But it's been the fact that I had no-one to apply the pressure to make it work! Now that I know about this tool I can fix the problem myself.

You might start with a tennis ball between your back and a wall, or on the floor.  This works very well for many people.
