I just reserved a seat for one of Dr Kellon's courses

She has a course coming up on Arthritis and other Lameness.

Sounds very interesting!

I plan to take a few of her others-I know Mike has taken her courses? (Did you Mike?)

Has anyone else?
karmikacres

Not me, Karen is the nutrition guru.  I just do feet.....

I am still looking into the NRC plus course.

Did Karen happen to take any of these courses??? Any feed back would be great!

Figure it would be a great compliment to "doing feet", and it seems her courses are highly respected.

I've taken NRC Plus, Nutrition as a Therapy, the IR course, and Understanding Blood work. I plan on taking the Arthritis course and Dr. Kellon is working on a reading Radiographs course that I will be taking as well.

Her classes are great.  They are pretty in depth. She provides a ton of research studies so you can get the basics or really delve into the subjects.

I can't say enough about Dr. Kellon and her classes. She has been consulting on Hollywood's case for months (for free).  She has even become part of our Pemphigus Yahoo group and is researching treatment protocols.  She is as she calls herself a data geek.

You won't be disappointed in the classes.  She also allows you to audit the classes as many times as you want after your initial class for free.  Money well spent.

After contact with some of her Australian students, I will be going elsewhere for nutrition training on the advice of the local Uni vets.

Really, based on what I have seen, Uni Vets would be my last choice for nutrition of hoof care.  Your mileage may vary.

One of the Uni vets was my vet, and he was the best vet I have ever had. I am still cursing him for leaving.

Thanks Karen.  What would you say was the course that you benefited from the most? (or one you think Mike would find the most useful as a trimmer?) I will be very lucky to even pull off one course a year, so I want to make sure I take the one that would compliment "trimming" and feeding for healthy feet. I know they all sound great, but would the NRC be the best place to start in your opinion?

I would also love to know more about reading x-rays!! (looking for a gas line still has me stumped).

Thanks for your input.

Definitely the NRC Plus which is the foundation.  We saw HUGE changes (for the better LOL) with our horses feet once we started balancing per Kellon's course.

I took the NRC plus course and  Nutrition as therapy.  I really got a lot our of them-- and the course material is a great resource.  I want to take more of her courses.  I liked the set up-- and the group question and answer was fun- and I learned a lot from the other students. I had my pasture analyzed  -  still have to do the hay I just bought!
