Is Your Water Poisoning Your Horse...and You?Is your horse relying on city water for its only source of water? Are you?
If so, check out the following link: www.practicalhorsekeeping.com/FluoridePoisoning.html
Then if that concerns you, see the video and comments posted by Dr. Mercola on this link: http://articles.mercola.com/sites...-researcher-on-australian-tv.aspx
You can send a message to the US Department of Health and Human Services telling them why, instead of lowering water fluoride levels, they should abandon fluoridation completely. The deadline is February 14, so time is running out!

Just for the record, fluoride isn't the only thing that could be in the water your horses are drinking that is bad for them. My late wonderful Dusty was seriously compromised metabolically. He improved when I started filtering his drinking water and using a drinking grade hose to fill up his bucket.

We use not only a drinking filter, but a shower filter at home...because you directly absorb 90% of what ends up on your skin, versus a much lesser percent when you ingest it. Weird huh?
we also don't use flouridated toothpaste.
Toxins are everywhere,.......even in your personal care products, because that industry is not regulated. See Environmental Working Group (google) for more information on how to not poison yourself when you wash your face or hair, or put on your lotion or deodorant!

We drink distilled water at home.
The horses are on city supply. That has both good and bad points:
Bad point - Addition of biocide to the water and possible long term effects which may reduce health.
Good point - Addition of biocide to the water lessens the risk of Salmonella - which the local water fowl, Pukeko, are known to carry - which can kill a horse very quickly.
