James Shaw Tai Chi for Equestrians!Hello.....while on the subject of biomechanics and purity of gait...wanted to let everyone know that I rode in a 2 day clinic and then did a private the 3rd day, with James Shaw of "Tai Chi for Equestrians" the first part of December....
James is an amazing person in several aspects but his 'eye' for human biomechanics and correct breathing was incredible...every horse and human had a change ...riders do 2.5-3 hrs of 'exercises' unmounted in the morning and take those to the horse in one hour semi private lessons in the afternoon....each day built upon the next...
Since I was taking Tai Chi classes, I purchased James' book "Tai Chi for the Equestrian" for a year or so back...it didn't go along at all with what I was learning doing 'the form' during class...but now having met and ridden with him...I have soared through the book...
If you ever have a chance to ride in one of his clinics...don't miss it....we are having him back in June to TN and we already have 8 rider spots spoken for out of 10.... www.shawtaichi.com tell him Karen sent ya!!!

I was just strolling around (just joined today) and wow! I have been taking Tai Chi classes for 4 months now and it has really made a difference in my relationships with my buddies. I didn't know about the book by James Shaw. Thanks so much. I ordered two books today, both because of this forum.
