Linda Parelli on Tour 2012K I know this thread is titled "Beyond Parelli", but just though I'd share here since there are still a lot of us who keep PNH our foundation and branch out.
Others that have another main training person...may want to branch to PNH.
Still to see Linda on tour would be entertaining. Personally I find her inspiring...and for $25.00 it's a pretty cheap price for a weekend of learning, and entertainment.

How can they call it a "world" tour, when the only dates mentioned are in the US? Although my basics are Parelli I won't say what my opinion is as it would upset some people!!!

Folks...can we please not muddy this post up? Just sharing incase someone might be interested in going. If you're not interested, then don't go.

Have to agree with Becky, this is just a simple announcement and some people are moving in this direction from other places or are keeping their line open while exploring other avenues. Thanks Becky

I saw this post while at the airport today. We thought it was a good idea. They need to do more of the old "Tour Stops" and introduce new people to PNH. You can't generate a client base for your Instructors if you don't start new students in the program.
Glad they are doing this.

Agreed. Would be great to read a report /see photos if anyone ends up going.

That Spitfire comment is exactly the type of comment that kept me away from this forum for so long. It looked like the forum was doing better, the really sour people have left, but it seems some remain. It is too bad, there is a lot of good here and good information and discussions.

I am allowed my opinion Michael. I wasn't aware that this was an "event notification" post only.
Honestly I am still picking my jaw up off of the ground at some of the claims made in that advertisement. I've kept those thoughts to myself but the "bigger then Elvis" one was just a shocker.

You are both allowed your opinions, but be aware that others might not care for them. I think negative opinions are best kept in the MONEY forum, and apparently I'm not the only one who is tired of them all the time.
To be honest, I would rate Linda better then Elvis too, although I'm not sure why anyone would compare them. I've never heard Linda sing or seen Elvis ride. Apples and oranges. I do think Linda inspires a lot of people. I know she inspired me and I've learned a lot from her. Can't say the same about Elvis, but I fondly remember my first boyfriend singing "Love me tender, love me true.." in my ear. I think he was hoping it might inspire me....
For $25 I'd love to see Linda's show...if it were close enough.

I'd spend $25 for the entertainment value alone . . .
And along the way (as often happens) I might just learn something.

LOL,
I have heard Linda sing, Linda and her 2 sisters sang at the dance on the saturday night at the Australian Celebration in 2009, Tim Sullivan and his band were playing. Whilst I am not sure that a recording contract is beckoning they far from shamed themselves, it was a good fun night.
But back to the original topic, I hope they come to Australia as I would enjoy going along, I went to the GoC here in Aust that Linda conducted and learnt heaps.

Steve
p.s. I haven't seen Elvis ride either though

| I have. He even kept horses at Graceland.
This is just a hunch but I suspect that the "bigger than Elvis" reference was a tongue-in-cheek statement. Everyone knows that no one will ever be bigger than Elvis.

Thank you Larry! Obviously he had the good sense to be gaited! :-) I'm sure he would frown at what has been done with the breed since his death. TWH are lovely horses in their natural state.
"No ONE will ever be bigger then Elvis" I'd have to agree. I think the Beatles were bigger then Elvis, but they were four. Other then John Lennon, none have ever 'inspired' me. I am still moved by "Let it Be'

Well....I listened to their teleconference yesterday through he Savvy club and there is a reason they are calling it a "WORLD" tour. This year is US...next year will be other countries. So folks here in the US......if you want to see the world tour, you probably better try to find a way to go to one this year! I've got the Pullyup WA dates blocked off on my calendar and already scheduled the Friday and Monday around it for vacation. 10 hr drive....it'll be a fun weekend for sure.

I really enjoyed those old tour stops. Any day filled with horses, riding, and sharing horsemanship is pretty fun. That's the reason I went the first time, and it's the reason I might go again. 25.00 is pretty standard around here for a tour ticket. CA, Chris Cox (although he refunded and did it for free because of fuel prices this summer) and Dennis Reis all charge 25.00. I love heading to the back and visiting their horses, most of all. Plus it's fun to sit there with a bunch of other people just as horse crazy as I am. Even my daughter put down her book (yes, she brought a book and does not like horses) at Chris Cox. She really enjoyed watching and laughed quite a bit as Chris made fun of this guys trailer loading skills. Don't know about Linda and Elvis, but HORSES and Ellvis? No contest!

Never saw Elvis but I did go see the Beatles at Wrigley Field in Chicago......... I was 13 and have never felt anything quite like that since

For those interested, I read on the Parelli forum today that America is the start of the 'World' tour for the Parelli's - not sure how true it is but makes sense given the headline.

Sorry guys, I'm a Stone's girl, although PInk Floyd was THE BEST CONCERT EVER!!!!!!
They broadcast The Parelli World Tour on RFD last night. Looks like the are repackaging a dvd about horsenality. Think it will run "as low as 59.00", so probaby for savvy club folks at that price. She did a cool demo with a dressage horse that went catatonic when ridden. She was unable to tell the girl what to do, so she got on the horse herself. Not critisizing her, it IS hard to tell someone to do whatever and get the timing right. I reallly enjoyed watching. It was on last night at 9 p.m. central time.
I tell ya, having a better understanding of horsenality and how horses learn has made a big difference in how I get on with the herd. I know they are repackaging, but I think they probably know a lot more about it now. She calls it "cusps", when a horse is lbi with lbe tendensies, lbe being the cusp thang. It has that old tour stop feel to it. If they come close to Kansas, I'd like to go!
