Do they have folks looking Carol?  There no charge to file missing on NetPosse.com  Gets more alerts out.

Only if it is a stolen alert and we have to have a case # and officer...involves much more paper work.

We could get this out fast to help them.

Carol,
I just talked on the phone to the lady, Katie.  She is filing a report asap.  They have a group riding to search for the horse.

I wish them luck.  She is a friend of a friend's and loves the horse very much.   I feel for her, I'd be terrified.

Me, too.  Usually, they find a meadow to graze in at an event.  So hopefully, the horse is grazing in a meadow in that area and will be found unharmed.

I have been in events where we found a horse in a meadow as we road bikes looking for the horse after the rider was thrown.  Other times, I left a rider with another rider to wait for help and took off for the horse.

I found the horse bleeding from a leg vein in a yard and a trailer came and picked us up.  The rider left the victim on the ground and a man in a truck found her and took her to the hospital...head injury with helmet.  So the rider I asked to stay with her, asked her if she was okay...what is a victim going to say...yes.

So leave?  No!  But, that person did.  I pulled my horse from the event as we had done 35 mikes and then, chased the injured horse several miles.  Stopped to help the horse and then, checked back on the victim.

Zippy and I good a Good Sportsmanship Award for stopping and not completing to help another.  They never gave out that Award before.  It was a nice compliment and the rider and horse ended up okay.

I hope we get the flyer out by tonight or tomorrow early...too many days have gone by.

This boy still has not been found.  Thelma, I sent you a PM about netposse.  We are over a week now and I'm very worried for Secreto.  I personally knew this horse before he was owned by his current owner and he is a very people oriented horse and would come to people looking for him.  Here are a few pictures from when I knew him.

Here is a picture of him from the last time I saw him prior to him going to his new home.

Hey, I just talked to Debi and emailed her.
She says you do not have to file a police report on a missing horse.  No case # is needed and they are just waiting for Katie to fill out the form on this horse.

Angela, another volunteer, has emailed Katie, also.

He is very beautiful.  Tell her to fill out anything she can, give as much information as possible.  Best to show a picture without the saddle for a full view of the horse, if possible.

I think at the time it is overwhelming, but fill out the form...then, let's get this show on the road.  We can get the email alerts out, on blogs, facebook, forums, twitter, etc.  Plus, people will print the fliers and take them to auction houses, etc.

Tell Katie, we are waiting for the information...NO NEED to have a police report on a MISSING HORSE.  But, we can still send out alerts.

I hope this helps.  I promise you have folks waiting for the report to send it out.

Hey, they found him!  He was in South Carolina, about 4 miles from where he went missing.   A man went searching and found him along a creek.   That is all I know.  I'll report the rest when I hear the rest!

TOO COOL!!
