Modelling good riding videos/clips/linksMy whole concept of balance and harmony with the horse has been changing at warp speed lately. I'm curious if anyone has online clips of people doing riding that you would say are models of excellence. I want to see people doing it right and people doing it well. It doesn't have to be long and it doesn't have to be a big name and it doesn't have to be fancy maneuvers. I'd even prefer just w/t/c! I know there is great value in seeing someone do what you are aiming for. So far the videos that I'm watching major on helping students improve so you see nice riding getting better. I think I'd like to see some of the finished product. No videos of how horrible upper level performers can be - I want to see the good ones right now.
Thanks for any recommendations.
BTW, I have KR's videos. I like watching her. And I saw a lovely short clip of PK at the end of one of his videos.

One note of caution on this thread, before people post videos or pictures of other people (not themselves) that I'd prefer they NOT do so, unless all critique can be kept positive, or negative critique confined to PM. The reasoning is the same as not posting pictures of other people's horses asking for conformation analysis.
I have a friend whose picture was used in such a manner. In the picture she was riding a stallion another person had purchased. He was just interested in the gait. She was not riding for show...so her ankles weren't bent, elbows weren't right, she wasn't sitting up straight...blah blah blah...but mostly she didn't ask to get shredded by criticism of her riding.
Please, keep this in mind when posting or replying to this thread.
Thanks you.

Ok, I hadn't thought of all that. I wasn't really asking for critique and analysis. Just posting a link that you think is good. I'm not even sure I want to know why you think it's good, etc. etc. And really not at all interested in bad links and why they are bad. Hmmmm. Maybe this wasn't a good question. You can delete the thread if you like, Carol.

No, it's a good subject. I just don't want to repeat an earlier bad experience. The person who posted the picture of my friend thought she was a good riding example. That's when the criticism started.

Here you go, I'll post a picture of myself to get the discussion going.
The only thing I don't care for in this picture is that I am leaning forward a little too much. I think this is due to the length of the reins, which are a loop rein (like Finesse reins), but are a little short for Zar.
