More about Buck and Harry please

I would love to know more about Buck B and Harry Whitney but really have little chance of attending a clinic and there seems to be  precious little available  on the Web. Can anyone explain some of their main philospohies with some examples if possible (please, without it becomming a slanging match) I have read some snippets here and on other forums and would love to know more. What sort of things are on Bucks DVDs? Thanks in anticipation

If you do a search on this forum, you will find a lot on Buck. Lots of clinic notes, too.  I know, I don't know why people have to get zippity about this guy.  I like him a lot, and I think he has a lot of good stuff.  He's got some good dvd's out, too.  Not so much about Harry.  I'm hoping he makes it back to Kansas.  He has family here, and does come do clinics here on occasion.  He has a web site, which I'm sure you have checked out already.  Maybe someone can add to this if they have worked with him.

I can't say much about Henry.  I don't know anyone who has actually studied him and there isn't a lot about his methodology or philosophy on his website.  Maybe some of our Arizona members know more about him.  I have read - and liked - some of his writings.

I have two Buck DVDs and have watched most of what I can find on YouTube.   He is a traditional California style Bridle Horse trainer.   I have his groundwork and colt start DVDs.  The Groundwork one is more recent and much better.   The colt start is the DVD of an older video.   It is pretty rough.   He is a traditional western horseman.   There is a lot to learn in his groundwork DVD even if you aren't planning to change to the Bridlehorse tradition.

I agree with Deb that you will probably learn most by doing a Search here and reading clinic notes by those who have attended them.  There are many people that have gone this direction.
