My spritual teacher has diedI just found out tonight that my spiritual teacher has died of cancer. She and her husband opened their home every Wed night, for years. About a dozen of us would gather, and Judy would teach. She was the most insightful, generous, awakened human I have ever known. She changed my life, taught me to be accountable, showed me how to stop being a victim. Introduced me to sufism and great spirtual awareness. She is an amazning soul, and I know heaven is celebrating her homecoming.
I was just thinking about her at the time of her passing. She must have checked in on her way home. Shocking to hear, then I began to wallow in a bit of saddness. I could feel her, her tsk tsk at my sadness, and her gentle repremand. She's just fine. Better than fine.
Think I'm ready for another teacher.

Deb,
Sorry for your loss.

Loss is a double edged sword. We know the ones that pass have moved on, returned home, but we still miss having them be tangible. They are always here, but we miss being able to touch, hug, talk...in our world. Erin, whisperingwindsfarm, once posted about the tears your cry for a loved one who has passes is not mourning but an indication of how much you loved them. When you cry you are expressing your love for them, not mourning. It really makes a difference in how you feel when you approach loss through honoring the memory and love instead of mourning.
She will always be with you, you will feel, hear and know her even if she is not tangible.

Sorry to hear that Deb. I'm sure a new teacher is on his/her way to you. Though I'm also sure your teacher who just passed will be missed by you and probably many others. Good for her for checking in on her way home. She sounds like a wonderful soul.

Very sorry to hear.
I'm sure you will always remember the things that she taught you.

If her lessons live on in you, then she indeed has not died.
May the sharpness of the pain of her absence be softened by the joy of having had her in your life.
