Parelli trained horses for sale ?

http://www.supernaturalhorses.com...relli-trained-horses-for-sale.php

Anyone know these folks and there story ?

Having seen what some people call "Parelli" and "NH", I probably wouldn't look at this type of ad as a positive selling point.  Some of those horses are way overpriced for what the ad contains.  They aren't trained with those methods, they are trained with someones interpretations of those methods.  I'd want to know more about the actual trainer and training process itself.

It's curious that some are listed as only Pat Parelli trained, some are parelli/Brainard, and one is Swift/Parelli/Brainard - now that's a combination for 'ya!

I think you're right - it's just someone's interpretation of these philosophies.  Kind of a mess.

I agree that some of those horses look to be overpriced, but I have to admit it was a good idea to set up a site where "naurally" trained horses are for sale. Like anything else, let the buyer beware. Still, if you are looking for a horse and are familiar with the trainers, might be a good way to find a horse!

All depends on who did the Parelli training. If done right it is a good way to skip all the ground skills and find a horse who will know the language already. That could be a plus.

That is why I asked about them.
Who are they and how can that be used as a selling tool  ?

They sure are proud of their horses.  Folks are giving them away around here.

Parelli's are sticklers about their copyright, I have to wonder if they (Super-natural horses) has been contacted by them.

I imagine it means the horses were trained with Parelli methods.  That is probably how I'd word it, and I think I've seen it worded like "Parelli Level 2 trained horse" or similar.

Hi all,

Iím happy to have found such an active natural horsemanship forum! Itís great to see some great discussions going on. I noticed this thread on Super Natural Horses, and I hope that I can help clarify some points.

I am one of the founders of Super Natural Horses (SNH) Ė weíre pretty new, just up and running since July of this year. SNH is intended to help link naturally trained horses for sale with natural horsepeople. Iím a natural horseperson myself, and prefer my sales horses to go to a home where their new owners know how to communicate with them. I also like to buy horses that already have some idea of how to communicate with me! As 4theloveofjake pointed out, itís nice to find a horse who knows the language already.

SNH is a classifieds website. Some horses have had extensive educations in natural horsemanship methods and their prices reflect that. However, we donít control the horsesí prices or anything else about them Ė we simply advertise them to potential buyers who have similar philosophies.

We allow classifieds advertisers to list more than one type of training for their horses because many natural horsepeopleís methods are inspired by several different trainers (for example, both Ray Hunt and Pat Parelli), and they may use elements of a variety of methodologies in their training.

As with any information in a classified ad, the natural horsemanship training philosophies list isnít meant to be comprehensive. Itís there to give potential buyers an idea of the type of training the horse has had, so that they can decide whether itís worth contacting the owner to know more.

Of course, with SNH being a classifieds website, we canít control the accuracy of the information in the listings. As when buying any horse, we suggest you get to know the owner/trainer so that you know exactly what youíre getting. As Autumn said, buyer beware!

I hope this helped answer your questions! If youíd like to discuss anything further, please donít hesitate to e-mail me at wildhearts@supernaturalhorses.com. Iíll also keep watching this thread and would be happy to answer any questions that come up.

Cheers,

Hi Celena

Lovely reply! Hope you stick around the forum, maybe someone will find their dream partner on your site.

Thank you!

Hi Oldmac,

Thanks! I am looking forward to spending some more time on the forum as the weather starts getting nasty and my horses get some time off for the winter. This seems like a really great community!

Cheers,
Celena
