Question about Buck Colt Starting

I just got in the Colt Starting video, seeing if there is anything there that will help with Buddy. I see it was filmed in 1988. So, that begs the question in my mind, what has changed since then? That was over 20 years ago, so have to wonder if anything important is different.

The Colt Starting video was rather harsh in my mind, I doubt you are going to like it. And a lot changed between it and the Ground Work and First Ride videos.

I think the video that could help Buddy would be the Ground Work video.

He had stopped selling the Colt Start but people asked for it back. It's worth a watch but not how he did it in the next videos after he learned more from the Dorrances and Ray. In the GW and FR he spends A LOT more time preparing the horse.

I just got the Groundwork video (as opposed to From the Ground UP which I haven't seen) and he takes you all the way through from taking a horse that has had little done to it to getting saddled and a first ride. I would guess it is similar to his Colt Starting clinics, which I'd love to attend next year when my horse is ready. I'm not sure where you are with Buddy, but I'm finding some helpful stuff that adds to what I've already been doing with her.
