Depends on where you live? I allow my vet to decide, because I want him to know where I live...I am pretty rural. So I pay him to do all things and then, if I have an emergency he comes. It has been a helpful tool. He has 6 vets in his practice...nice to know. I know each of them. I make it a point to visit and personally talk with them. The price is not nice, but in an emergency it helps.
I will say that the answering service once let me down in a very big way...but, I will not go there at this time.
Let the vet know where you live.

I agree that it "depends on where you live", I would also add that it also depends on how much you travel/or how much your horse comes in contact with new horses.
In the fall for where my horse is currently at it is suggested to do Fluvac Innovator EHV4/1 only, it is not strongly suggest unless you will be traveling, or your horse is likely to be introduced to a new horse.

I also agree with 'depends.' Where I live, I do no fall shots. I don't have any pregnant mares or breeding animals here either.
