Stallion Question, Cryptorchidism?

Ok so I sort of rescued a yearling (14 months old) AQHA stallion... now I have never owned a stallion but have always been around them. Anyway my boy only has one descended testicle... I am very concerned and don't know if I should have him gelded right away or wait and see if the other one will drop.

I have cleaned him up and he is now on a regular feed and hay as well as fresh water. I got his hoofs trimmed and he has turned out pretty nice but I have only had him a few days so should I wait?

You need two to tango!

Call your vet see if he/she can find number 2~

I just talked to the vet and she said to give 4 more months. Then they would look and see. She said it could be just higher up... I don't know what stallion balls feel like    so I am just going to take him in in 4 months if I can't see the other one.

They can take up to 18 months to have them completely dropped, and you would be amazed at how far they can tuck them up if they are stressed. When he relaxes with his new home, you may see both descend. Best time to look is after a meal when all is quiet.
