Stool ? Where to get one?I'm sure this was talked about before but can't find the post.
Anybody use a stool when trimming hooves? The ones that have wheels? Where did you get it?

I remember that, and I think someone found one at some flea market, or something? Got this off barefoot site...
Some people like to sit on an auto mechanic's stool with the little wheels, or a milk crate. It helps if you have back trouble. I like to stand up because there is more room for my arms and elbows to move.
I think this is what that person got. I remember it had wheels.

Thx Deb...I remember it having wheels. I think it was cheaper/less espensive than that though, but I'm not sure.

You could try Sears tool department, or AutoZone/PepBoys.
Most places I go, a stool and wheels would just sink in the mud or roll down the hill Where are all these fancy barns with flat floors and heat and airconditioning, and a smoothie bar!

Thx happy cat, never thought of that.... Trip to Princess Auto, looking for something around $20.

I saw an American Belgian, 19.2 hands, I think a Bar stool would have been the best bet. Sit on it, pour a nice tall pint and watch your apprentice do the trimming!

I got one at the auto department walmart with a shock absorber in the seat (totally nice) and a little platform for tools on the bottom (also very cool). Walmart had it for about $15 on sale.
Totally know what you mean about the mud also. Now that I don't board at the nice indoor arena with nice concrete alleyways......my husband has stolen my stool for himself. I have to use a 5 gal pickle bucket out in the muddy field.

I have one that i got from Advanced Auto Parts. I never use it anymore.
Just be careful using a stool-it skew your sight and makes it tough to get the foot on 'plane'
