the spirit of the fishOkay y'all, I know all animals have intelligence but I just SAW it in my fish!
She's a grazer of the sea...a fish that must continually graze on algae. So every day, I place a folded up sheet of sushi nori (seaweed) in her tank. Today I did not do that, and while I was walking past her tank, I glanced at just the right time and saw her nudge the wire that hangs in her tank that the nori goes on with her nose as she swam past. It could have been an accident, but it 'seemed' very purposeful.
So I stopped and turned to look, and she did it again! And again! So I put it in her tank and of cours she began to tear eagerly at it.
She is so smart! Here is a pic. Forgive the filthy tank. I don't know why she doesnt like to graze on all the algae already in there. Curses.

Wasn't it Mary (Cheerios) who was going to teach her fish to play basketball? I remember the video several months ago.
We used to have Oscars and they would JUMP out of the tank at feeding time they'd be so excited.
