Yep, here i am.. feeling all sad.
I REALLY miss my horse. But right now I just can't get to him.
We had vaulted forward too.. made massive amounts of progress and the rug has been pulled out!
I have no idea what I am going to find when I get to him ,hopefully tomorrow.
I was there a couple of days ago for a very short time and he would not even come to me at the gate.

It hurt my feelings, but it should not have. He was paying attention to me, his eye was on me, he just would not come. And I didn't have but 10 minutes to be there. I got the feeeling he was sticking his tongue out at me! Ignoring me. Not all the way though.. I don't want to put human thoughts and feelings on it though.
He's so muddy it makes my heart hurt. But I am sure he's LOVING being that dirty hehehe
So the plan for tomorrow is just to make it to him for some friendly time.
I HATE that he's been left with the normals for so long. he's going to be jumpy I am sure..
Our last play time was short but really good! We started with what we are good at, then moved a bit into driving from zone 3. I had to start in zone2 cause i have neglected that game. But in no time I was back in zone 4!! He's way smart. or am I just finally getting it!?

So I missed the Franklin celebration, it was going to be my very first ever parelli event. Although my friend did ask Pat to say hello on the phone. That was nice and it did make my day.
You know what's funny?
The day before the ice storm that destroyed my home I was telling the land owners son that I was NOT a horse expert. I am a expert with Chance. I don't care what others do with their horses, I don't even want to do anything with other peoples horses. I have nothing to prove to anyone other than Chance.
It makes me nervous to be away from him this long. Oh and he's LBI too.. so I might see some ugly faces too.. hehehe
So at this point I don't care about level's, strings, clubs or even riding!! I just want the time with my partner.
To lay my head against his neck. Feel his poofy coat. And put my heart in my hand and tell him i love him.

maybe i will have a more upobeat post tomorrow! hehehe

Hello!!
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
Everything is going fine for now. My nerves have been shot!
I did get to see my boy today.. He came to me fast! last time I didn't hang out and wait on him and he missed his scratches and treat!

There was really no time for play today though. So many trees have fell, and there's alot of fence damage. So I spent some undemanding time with him and then worked.

Before I left I went back to the barn and hung out for a bit. He smelled me from head to toe. I scratched him, and even hugged him. I have quit talking when I am with him. Trying to use my actions, and touch to show how I feel. Body language.

He followed me around a bit. I put my pinky in the side of his halter and he followed me. I played some games close up, at liberty.

I have not tried much liberty because I don't have a round pen, BUT I think we are ready to try some of it!
So I dont think we are in a mess cause i have had to be away for a while.
He still 'wants' to be around me!
He followed me around as i picked up limbs and such. The 4wheeler and trailer didn't bother him.. he's so curious! He's the ONLY one of the 3 horses that came up to us as we worked..!!

Well that's enough for now. Just wanted to say thanks to you all for your kind words and let ya know I don't think things are as bad as I thought they might be!
