Is there a way to find a list of threads you posted in or more exactly, you started? I'm looking for a thread I may have started here on backing up. I think it was here, anyways, and not on the SC.

if you click on your name (which will be in blue on the forum index page) on a thread that you just posted on...it will lead you to a page where you can click on see all posts link. sorry not very good at describing, but it is already possible though can take a long time depending on how many posts you have done. it may also work through the memberlist option at the top?--yep edit to add it does work, click on Memberlist, then on your profile name, then on Find all posts by_____

well shoot. that sounds like a lot of work lol

I was just going to update it because I had started a post a long time ago because I'd been having trouble with the backup being one foot at a time and very heavy. I watched buck brannamans groundwork dvd and love the way he explains how to teach backup from the ground (hold halter knot with thumb pointing down. If horse does not move feet, move halter left to right back and forth till he moves. put pressure till the horse goes back with diagonal feet like a backwards trot, AND is flexed at the poll AND soft.) Also in the saddle I'm having great success asking one foot at a time with a little energy in my foot on the same side I'm asking while just sitting back a little, and lifting up with that rein too.

You can just click on yout profile at the bottom of any post.  Then click on the blue all posts by username in your profile.  On the SC there was a second option underneath that to find all threads started by that username.  Maybe ask Carol if that can be added here?  It would be nice to have that.

I have no idea how to add that as an option, or if it even is an option.  I will go search the Help Forum and see.

Erin, this forum doesn't have the best search feature, but if you can remember any word or name from that thread, you could search it.  Maybe your horse's name would narrow it down?

what is the proper format to search for a string of words (entire phrase), for example, nine step back up?

Put it in quotation marks, i.e., "nine step backup"   You might try back-up and back up also.  It depends on how you typed it originally.

I found out that it was a thread on the SC. Thanks for the tips, it will help me in future searches!
