Thank you Wanda!!!

Well we are back! LOL..
forgot the camera,,, sigh But we did measure Levi, he's just a little bit under 15 hands! So I will call him 14'3 to be safe!
This heat is disgusting,, we rode around awhile, i rode first. Then Julie, my 11 year old got on and she rode Levi! She didn't want me to let go of the lead rope though, and that's fine. She did great and so did mr Levi!

As for feeling "Love".. Well that's probably not the right word to use. I don't think they feel "love" like we do. But I think you understand what I mean..

[/b] "When you create a problem, you create pain, All it takes is a simple choice, a simple decision: No matter What Happens, I will create no more pain for myself. I will create no more problems.

Hey! I got some good news I wanted to share! I have lost
7 Pounds!!! hahahahaAnd I feel great about it too! When I quit 'dieting' everything sorta clicked!
A friend of mine had read "naturally thin" by Bethenny Frankel.. I was relunctant to read it, thought it was just another eating plan, but it's not really!
What I found interesting about it was one of the 'rules' she has is to cut " food noise" and use your food voice or something like that.
Basically she's telling you to be PRESENT everytime you eat!
I had a problem with binging,, would eat a cookie or something and I would feel i ruined the day and eat everything in sight !!!
For the first week I honestly just relaxed, ate what I wanted. My mind calmed down then, quit panicing about food.
But long story short I feel GREAT! Thank God I don't have to diet anymore!

Excellent Elaine !!!    I too have forgotten about food.  I believe it was Esther Hicks who talked about eating food and considering it to be our "friend".  Food can only make you gain weight if you "believe" it can   of course we have all been programmed to "believe" it can

Another Portal To The Now....

Every Time You Walk
up and down the stairs in your
house or place of work,
pay close attention to every
step, every movement,
even your breathing.
Be totally present.

Hey there is this really neat little book I just finnished reading called Ashram Tang.  A little corny starting out but the message is amazing.  Anyway, you all got to read it I finished it in 1 day and am now on my second round

Who ever thought about stayin present when you eat?  I'm tellin ya you gotta trust and believe a philosophy that is sooooooo pervasive in the cultures of the world!

Ridin early this am, we came into a swarm of flies and my girl became quite upset.  Long story short........ I called on the center and dove into the present and every muscle in her back and barrel let loose along with a big exhale   I have never felt that before.

Carry on.
.....Oh yea, great job on the 7 lbs. Elaine.  That is not easy to do, I can strongly relate!  (thanks for the book tip, Wanda)

Anyone up for branching out?  Wonderful article, verrrrrry long but certainly worth the time.  I read a great book called The Four Agreements and it lead me to the author's blog.

Want to hear about my little experiment??

Okay, here's what I have been doing. I will try to make this a 'short' version LOL..
This is my Mood changing experiment...
To see how many people I can alter with being Present. Now, i did this with my husband hehehehehe He can't pick fights,, I don't push against it. so it fizzles.
I wanted to see just how many people I could effect with being in the Now.  Started with Sales people. Every person in stores, gas stations or anything i did I went in Present.  Some people where effected with in seconds it seemed. A few it took a minute to so to bring them in the Present with me. But I did!  It's became fun! There's been some grumpy people too! hahahaha but they could not STAY grumpy!
My mom gave me a perfect scene the other day. We went into the local dollar store,, the clerk was truly grumpy and short, pissy even. My mom just fed right off of that, instead of resisting that other womans mood she allowed her to bring her down even more and it was funny to watch! Okay, i probably should not have found it humorous. but I did. Then it was MY turn..
she took a little bit, but I brought her out of her mind and in the Now for just a couple minutes anyway.
When people come into the present you can see them relax,, it's so aparent they  have stopped thinking for a minute..

When the left the one store my mom was like.. "Well she was miss sunshine wasn't she" .. mom didn't even cut her any slack,, you never know why someone is grumpy or upset! Maybe she lost a loved one,, or maybe she's upset for something serious..
Before I had my second daughter, I was pregnant. One morning I started to bleed. I called hubby, he rushed home and was rushing me to the hospital. At stoplight to get on the highway he sped in front of a young lady, I had my head leaned up on the passenger side window. Hurting, sad and scared. The young woman flipped me off and made such a hateful face ate us. I thought.. well,, that's nice, she's soooo worried about getting somewhere so fast, she didn't know I was losing my baby.
Since then I have cut people slack . I don't take crap, but I have been a little more understanding of people since that day..

Y'all might think I am crazy LOL.. But I am having so much fun!

As requested...It's time to revitalise...

THE KEY IS TO BE IN A STATE OF PERMANENT CONNECTEDNESS...
with your inner body__
to feel it at all times.
This will rapidly deepen and transform your life.
The more consciousness you direct into the inner body, the higher its vibrational frequency becomes.

If you guys want more Echart dailys let me know !!

Okay maybe I didn't give this Tolle guy enough of a chance. I heard him on the radio and his voice bored me to tears so I stopped there. Reading this seemed different. Wonder what he means concentrating on your inner self?

OK, good place to start Wanda!  I let my inner tape loop take over and play negative s**t as soon as something goes wrong....... blowiing it up into an insurmountable problem.  If I didn't allow this loop to start playing I could stay in the moment for longer periods of time.

Nancy, I do the same thing.  I try really hard to concentrate on the positive, but the negative has such a strong hold on me when there's a lot of bad stuff going on.  The bad comes to mind unbidden, but the good flys away on the wind.

You asked, "Wonder what he means concentrating on your inner self?"

Here is an excerpt from the book:

"Water? What do you mean by that? I don't understand it."

That is what a fish would say if it had a human mind.

Please try to stop understanding Being. You have already had significant glimpses of Being, but the mind will always try to squeeze it into a little box and then put a label on it. It cannot be done. It cannot become an object of knowledge. In Being, subject and object merge into one.

Being can be FELT as the ever-present I AM that is beyond name and form. To feel and thus to know that you ARE and to abide in that deeply rooted state is enlightenment, is the truth that Jesus says will make you free.

(skipping a few pages here...)

(Eckhart writes as if he is having a conversation with a seeker. The seeker asks,)

"You said that identification with our physical form is part of the illusion, so how can the body, the physical form, bring you to a realization of Being?"

The body that you see and touch cannot take you into Being. But that visible and tangible body is only an outer shell, or rather a limited and distorted perception of a deeper reality. In your natural state of connectedness with Being, this deeper reality can be felt every moment as the invisible inner body, the animating presence within you. So to 'inhabit the body' is to feel the body from within, to feel the life inside the body and thereby come to know that you are beyond the outer form.

(end of excerpt from Chapter entitled 'the inner body' in the book The Power of Now)

Wanda if you haven't picked up a copy of The Power of Now, it is excellent. I guarantee you won't be bored. In it he really helps you see all of your component parts that make up the entirety of YOU. How the three parts are defined and how they interact, and how you can keep the Mind and Body in subjugation to the Spirit or Being that is the real underlying truth of your idenity, ultimately, once you are departed from this earthly body. The trials and tribulations of the body and mind are REALLY distracting!!! But we can learn so much from the experience.
