For crying out loud.....
Is this happening to horses in fields or stabled?   Most people don't keep their horses stabled around here...we mostly have large pens, corrals, or just out in the field.

I don't like it , either Becky.  But, I have to tell you when this kid of this is happening.... a tail sells for $3000.00 easily and thieves do not care about the horse or you.  In fact, the tail is more valuable than the horse....it is art.

I have saved a strand of each horse's hair when I knew I was having to put him down.  Or before that time came.  A special lock for me.  But, never have I had anything actually made of horse hair, except when Frostfire was older and losing his tail.

Back then, I had no clue about SHI.  I bought a horse tail thinking it was probably from one gone on. I purchased it from some magazine for very cheap.  I still have it.  I hate to think it was stolen off a living horse.  I surely hope not.

But, I choose not to buy horse hair jewelry or belts because I have no idea where the hair came from in the situation.

I am not into the don't eat beef or chicken group, but I do have my limits.

Well......... all my horses have short ugly tails, they hate people and will kick you to kingdome come if you try to go behind them so don't come round here whoever you are.

Not only that, we watch the pasture closely and will sick the pitt bulls after you if you come anywhere near my horses.

I saw a story on the news last week about I think it was LA's police force, selling off their horses to save money.

Now that it's Easter
We really have to say

Thank you NetPosse volunteers for all that you do

In your quiet efficient way

We don't know how we'd cope
Without you by our side
We know that life would be

A very bumpy ride

As the seasons come and go
And Easter time arrives
It takes the Spring season

To make us realize

We do not take the time to say
We appreciate all you do.

So have a Happy Easter, special volunteer

And lots of love to you

Easter horseWe know the poem is a little corny but we still wanted to take this time to let you know how important you are to Stolen Horse International and how much you really are appreciated the whole year through.

We hope you have a wonderful day filled with family, friends and of course your horse. For those who do not have your horses home with you, we send a special wish that they will be soon. We never give up.

The volunteer staff (Harold, Debi, Angela, Michelle, Sonya, Casey)

Stolen Horse International Inc.

Never underestimate the power of one!

No grilling near the barn despite how much fun it is to be near the horses.  FYI.

How heart breaking...people just don't think about these things.  Barbecues have burnt many houses down.
