Our front gates were open, and his pasture gate was closed and tied shut with bungee cord, as it always is. We left Saturday morning at 7:30, and shut and chained the front gate. We did not notice whether or not he was in the loafing shed or pasture at that time. When we returned at 1:30 Saturday afternoon, we noticed that he was gone. The front gate was still chained shut, but the pasture gate was open and the bungee cord on the ground. We cannot prove that someone stole him, and the sheriff's dept. is of the opinion that he somehow managed to escape and will eventually turn up or someone will find him and call in a report.
