He mentioned that we need to remember to breathe, but didn't go into great detail about it in my memory of the clinic. Kathleen, his assistant, wrote about it in her book, In the Company of Horses, which is just a great book!!! _________________ A horse is NOT a large dog that thinks like a person. |

Wanda, I had borrowed some of his books from a friend several years ago, and just recently was re-reading them....I had put it off because I had 'already read them' but truly, you get so much more out of them because you are in a different place now than you were then, and different things 'pop out' at you in a relevant way than when you read them last. Kathleen Lindley's book really drove home some things for me this time whereas last time I read it I think much of it went over my head. The chapter on softness ("Softness is the place where everything is available....") and the chapter on "meaning well" are so good! Having gone to the clinic and seen mark and done the exercises he demonstrates helps me understand how to apply some stuff now that I REALLY hope allow me to rely less on cues and more on a feeling of energetic connection with my horse. God I wish I had her in my backyard and could spend more time with her, than just a couple hours a week. _________________ A horse is NOT a large dog that thinks like a person. |

I can see that Erin, I am in a different place now and am sure the books would mean something entirely different than the last time. Just finishing up Zen Mind Zen Horses and may reread some of my old books again. That clinic surely must have been amazing _________________ Wanda
