I'm on cloud nine right now.  I just got to take a short nap with my 8 month old weanling!

I have been playing with clicker training with great success esp. with my 19 year old RBI mare.  She never has been a cuddling type horse but has started opening up a lot the past few weeks.  8 )

Very, very cool!

That's especially cool about your 19 year old mare. I've seen some older horses really be transformed by clicker training -- some really open up, start expressing themselves, and start enjoying training.

We had one 20 year old mare who I worked with a lot at the rescue last year. Ex-brood mare, use to being pushed around by people and made to do things. She has really become quite a sweet heart now.

I should know that I can't make a post without a picture!  haha  Sorry, no actual pictures of laying with him, but this was taken a couple days before.

On a side note here is his half brother at about three months chilling in the yard.

And both colts sire in a bit of a predicament, can't you just see the embarrassment on his face?

Leave it to horses to get themselves in predicaments.

My husband thinks the horses are on Self Destruct missions.   I agree with Sandra, they never cease to amaze me.

he is still a stud... for now, he is for sale, and owner is considering cutting him.  She lost her extra pasture lease and is tired of him jumping the fence to reach the girls LOL  She has souped up the fence and was holding him in last I heard.

I think she took the next board down. Good thing he wasn't panicing or could have ended with injuries.
